Dear Church Family,
We are planning to reopen for Worship Service only beginning Sunday, June 21st at 10:30 am. We will not have Sunday School yet and our Wednesday nights will remain online for adults. We are working now to make sure we meet guidelines for opening. We wanted to share, with you so you can be prepared for our “new guidelines” for the next few weeks.
Because our rails are not up, we are asking everyone to use the fellowship hall entrance.
Here is what gathered worship will look like:
No Sunday School for now
We will not have choir for now
We will not use hymnals, all music will be on the screen
We will not have bulletins
We will not have our regular offertory. Offering plates will be at the front and back of the church and tithes and offerings can be placed in them as you enter or leave.
Every other row in the Sanctuary will be blocked off to ensure social distancing.
Families may sit together and couples or individuals may sit at the ends of pews.
We will dismiss one row at a time.
Deacons and ushers will help you with seating.
Overflow spaces will be available in the Fellowship Hall, if needed.
Coffee, or other refreshments will not be made available.
Here are a few guidelines for those in attendance:
Keep a reasonable distance between families, preferably 6 feet.
Take advantage of the hand sanitizing stations.
Do not crowd the bathrooms and wash your hands thoroughly.
Respect others by initiating non-contact greetings.
Sit in family groups in the Sanctuary or in the overflow area.
Try not to congregate in the sanctuary or fellowship hall after the service.
If you or any member of your family has been sick, has a fever or any symptoms of Covid-19, please join the service online
Please note that we are not requiring masks to be worn, but we will not discourage anyone from wearing masks or gloves
If you are not comfortable being out at this time, we do not want you to feel any pressure to be present for services. We will, of course, be livestreaming the service on Facebook, and later on our church website. And you may continue to give online as well.
In the meantime, join us in praying for the eradication of COVID19. Pray that our reopening will invigorate our church body and be a blessing to our community. Pray for local, state and national leaders as they make hard public health and economic decisions every day. Pray that this international crisis would put a longing for Christ in people’s hearts and that many would hear and respond to the gospel.
In Christ,
Pastor Cory
